Boy Who Allegedly Threw a Rock At Motorist Charged

An angry motorist walked a 12-year-old boy into a police station after the child allegedly hurled a rock off a nearby West Side overpass, smashing the windshield of the man’s minivan Sunday morning.

The boy was charged with vehicular endangerment and criminal damage to property, accoridng to police. His case is being handled by juvenile authorities.

“I’m just glad I didn’t get hurt and no one else did,” said the driver, 54-year-old long-time West Side resident Wilbert Crosby.

“It hit my windshield. It’s a good thing it hit the top corner because I could have been killed,” according to Crosby, who said at first he thought he was being shot at.

Rocks are often thrown from overpasses at cars in Chicago. This is the first time I have ever heard about someone actually
catching the person who threw the rock right after it happened. I sure hope the 12 year old who threw the rock learns something.

Was there another teacher witness who saw what happened? He's never dropped a rock on the windshield at home......

2. If you read the entire story, yes, there is another witness.

The story states that the 12 year old's sister told the police that the boy did indeed throw the rock. Here is quote...

"While the boy told police he did not do it, his younger sister who was with him at the time, told police that he did, according to the lieutenant. The girl was not arrested and will not be charged"

3. We had a drunken idiot asshole do that in Cleveland.

And killed a woman. His brother-in-law, who was with him at the time turned him in.

They sent his stupid ass to jail, where it belonged.

onto traffic below in South Florida for at least 30 years.

6. I'm surprised someone didn't go after the guy for "kidnapping".

7. I'm surprised, and thankful, that the driver wasn't charged with kidnapping and child molesting...
