NYS Hunger Reaches Record Levels; 2.5 Million Can’t Afford Enough Food
http://www.nynp.biz/index.php/breaking-news/7506-nys-hunger-reaches-record-levels-25-million-cant-afford-enough-food

The number of New York State residents living in homes that directly suffer from hunger, a condition labeled by the Department of Agriculture (USDA) as “very low food security,” increased by 56% since a similar report was issued three years ago.

2. Just to be pedantic
The number living with "very low food security" is 702,000 or almost 4% of NYS's 19.4 million population. That is the number that more than doubled in the past three years.

The number living with "low" or "very low food security" is the 2.5 million number and represents just about 13% of the state's population, which means that if you're in a room with 30 random people, it's highly likely that 4 of them will have either gone hungry in the past year or is without enough food right now.

3. The number suffering hunger has risen dramatically during BHO's tenure as most of junior's policies,
initiatives, and wars have been continued and the grand bargain forged with repugs assures the number who will experience very low food security, not to mention very low heat-, cooling-, medicine-, and medical-care security, will rise significantly since the old, the frail, and the poor will be required to shoulder the burden as the uber-wealthy and large corporations continue their furtive sucking at the public welfare teat, to wit: shameless and complicitous misfeasance of office at the highest levels of government that would unthinkable and unfathomable in a truly representative form of government. :patriot:
