Former MI Gov Jennifer Granholm To Host Show On Current TV
Former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm will host a new prime-time show starting January 2012 on the expanding Current TV network.

"The War Room will be a nightly show for political junkies like me and anyone who cares about the future of our country, focusing on the 2012 election from all angles," Granholm said in a statement on Wednesday.
"We will actively engage viewers with a blend of smart analysis and relevant commentary from guests on the cutting edge of politics, business and entertainment."

From that description, it's clear Current is sticking to its strategy of providing news analysis and commentary over original reporting. When Current hired former CNN executive David Bohrman as the network's president back in August, Bohrman told TPM the shows wold provide viewers with analysis and let people decide what they think.

After the high-profile hire of progressive darling Keith Olbermann, the network worked quickly to fill in the prime time line-up. In September, Current hired former MSNBC host Cenk Uygur. While Olbermann's ratings started strong, Current's ratings still have a long way to go to match their cable-news brethren.

1. All for it, but my stinkin' cable company carries it on for extra $$$.
I know I can watch online, but would prefer to get it on cable.

But my company is RCN - and they wouldn't add a station at no charge if it killed them.

2. Our Cable Company does not carry it at all. We would have to switch to
a Murdoch/Ailes owned piece of crap.
