The footage of Quinn, lifted by the ironically named group Building a Better Ohio, was actually filmed by the pro-labor group We Are Ohio for an ad featuring Quinn that urges Ohioans to vote against Issue 2. Some 24 Ohio TV stations now have pulled the ads, according to the Dayton Daily News.

The pro-worker We Are Ohio ad opens with footage of Quinn saying:


If not for the firefighters, we wouldn’t have our Zoey today. That’s why it is so important to vote “No” on Issue 2. Issue 2 makes it illegal to negotiate for enough firefighters to do their job.

In the right-wing group’s ad, the footage of Quinn is manipulated to make it appear that she supports the anti-labor legislation that was passed earlier this year. The ad urges voters to cast a “Yes” ballot on Issue 2, which would write the S.B. 5 measure into law.
