How to Talk to Ann Coulter (If You Must)
Truth Trumps Coulter’s Talk

Ann Coulter’s latest screed – How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must) – was released today. In honor of that event, Daniel Borchers will be doing his own anti-book tour to correct the many distorted statements in the book. This first in a series of essays on Talk – “Talk to the Animals, er, Liberals” – can be found at http://www.whoslying.org/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=621&Itemid=2.

This essay series continues with …

· “Let’s Bomb Them All”

· “Meet Ann Coulter, Conservative Martyr”

· “How to Talk – to Anyone”

· “The Essence of Ann Coulter”

· “There Are 50,999,897 Traitors in America!”

· “Sympathy for the Devil”

· … And more to come!

These additional essays will be initially published on www.Whoslying.org on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule.

Daniel Borchers is available for interviews in person, by telephone at 240-476-9690, and via email at PatriotCorner@yahoo.com. Citizens for Principled Conservatism is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration of principled leadership and moral clarity within the Conservative Movement. Our companion website – www.CoulterWatch.com – will provide exciting new material in the coming weeks.

I'll admit it, I am a fox news junkie. I love watching Bill O'reilly, Tony Snow, Sean Hannity and that Kavuto guy...and the info-babes crack me up as well. I thrive off of the hackles I get on the back of my neck watching this horrible train wreck, but Ann Coulter is just so 'out there' with her schtick that I don't even think it is any fun.

Go to Anncoulter.com and you will see what I mean. Its so moronic that I feel nothing, NOTHING about any of the things she has written there! its too weak. There are no facts, no numbers, not even a lick of sense to back up anything she says. It's like arguing politics with a snotty little 15 year old. There is no point!

I am with Franken on this one. I feel sorry for her. I really do.

3. An educated, thinking person doesn't talk to her -- she/he ignores her.
She's so irrevelant & too "out there".

4. Yes she's crazed, bizarre, irritating, and fashion-challenged, BUT
don't dismiss her. It's important to keep track of her, to deconstruct her "writings" and her television comments, and to show her target audience just what total junk her work is.

It's kind of like understanding how nasty bacteria multiply and spread. And how to stop them.

If only we could foam her down with antibacterial soap.

5. Yes, it's just like
the Nazi movement. If you look back at the work of the Nazi propagandists in their early days (including Hitler), the stuff they were saying was preposterous. I'm sure there were Germans who thought this nut who wrote a book saying strange things about a master race and claiming he was going to take over Germany, kill the Jews, invade Poland and push east, and exact revenge for WWI in the west, was blowing out a lot of hooey no educated prson should take seriously.

You have to take all of those kind of people seriously.

And I think that we liberals should, when reasonable, offer support to traditional conservatives working to reclaim conservativism from the looney tunes crowd. Back when conservatives were actually conservatives, and not neofascists calling themselves neoconservatives, in my public life I was able to successfully work together with conservatives on issues of common interest. Neocons, I don't think, work with others. They assimilate them, exploit them, or try to annihilate them, but they are fundamentally incapable of the kind of political process that democracy depends upon.

6. I agree...Who took Rush seriously
in the early years of the Clinton administration? I thought he was a total joke.

As much as we might despise these cartoonish pundits, the fact is that people DO listen to them, and DO take them seriously.

Sigh~ If only it weren't so.
