1. I am about halfway through his book...
... he's not a bad guy so far, goes into alot of how he became what he is. A true soldier's soldier. Got his start in the rice patties in Vietnam and made a career out of it.

It's a bit of a dry read, and could stand to be a bit shorter (a good bit shorter), but not bad. I am just at they part now about when they are getting the plan together for Afghanistan. It's got some cool inside info about tactics and stuff that I hadn't seen, and shows an insiders view about how the whole thing went down. Some sections of the book though, disjointed sections about tactics and technology, get a tad boring and there is the temptation to skip ahead. I give it about 3.5 stars out of 5 from what I've read so far.

2. Franks knew the worst was coming ....
I'm sure there's not much he could have done about it, so he left while the going was good (for him)

3. Bush Kind of Blamed it on Tommy at debate
During the Second Debate, Bush mentioned that he asked 'Tommy' if we were ready.

And thats the whole point of this, Tommy is the fall guy in a way, and you have to ask yourself, should Tommy had said to the President, 'No We Are Not'

4. How do we know what Tommy said?
I mean seriously. If Bush asked Tommy if we were ready, I doubt he was expecting to hear "No". Like Richard Clarke being sent back to the drawing board a zillion times to find a reason to invade Iraq after 9/11. Bushco had its agenda set. They were going to do what they were going to do no matter what.

5. Texasbushwhacker..
That is the point of it. Its Blame it On Tommy Franks.

Now, of course Tommy wouldn't have said No, and thats the point too.

But, if heat is put on Tommy Franks, which I and many believe should be, then you will hear him respond, and that is the point of this also.

This has been a web of Bull%$#& from the get go, and its time to confront them all with their own rhetoric.
