Gott mit uns: On Bush and Hitler’s rhetoric
Bob Fitrakis

08/31/04 "Free Press" -- President Bush told Texas evangelist James Robinson that “I feel like God wants me to run for President. I can’t explain it, but I sense my country is going to need me. Something is going to happen . . . I know it won’t be easy on me or my family, but God wants me to do it.”

1. God Speaks
God speaks through all of us.
It's important to note, that the message is ALWAYS filtered through our own beliefs and mis-perceptions. The spiritual practices of people who are serious about Knowing God are for the purification of the "windows of perception," the vehicle through which God's Knowledge is transmitted. This vehicle is the human nervous system. This takes years and lifetimes to detox. I do not think W ever actually completed a detox or rehab program. He still has remnants of "substance" in his system and brain; whether it's from 20 years ago or yesterday. I'd like to see a PET Scan of his brain.

Additionally, those who are sincerely spiritual, are also humble.

Furthermore, scholars who have really read the Bible and the book of Revelations know that there is no reference to the "Rapture" which so many so-called Christians are recklessly planning on. The "enemy" of Revelations was the Roman Empire, which looks a lot like the American Empire (and the Third Reich).

OK, I'm ranting.

om shanti....peace.....shalome.....God bless us all.

2. The so called Christian agenda is the volk agenda
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 08:15 PM by teryang
It is a mass movement appeal. The appropriate symbol is the swastika rather than the cross. It is a corrupted and incongruous set of beliefs meant to differentiate white christians from suspicious Islamic peoples who are portrayed as insensible extremists and terrorists. It is clearly a neo-fascist trend.

The fact that pro-Zionist policies are invoked in support of the bellicose and bigoted agenda is a convenient mish mash that disguishes bigotry, allows imperialism, and mongers hate throughout the land in support of the energy lobbies, who covet other nations resources, and the profiteering defense contractors, who covet the government treasury.

Ever listened to the anti-Islamic hate mongering of John Hagee Ministries? Ever heard this anti Islamic neo religious clap trap from co workers at the office? It is rampant among southern protestants, even among university graduates.
