2. How big is their circulation?
I shot them a quick note..

To whom it may concern:

You do know the definition of insanity, right? Doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results? The healthcare system, the jobs scenario, our international prestige, our security here at home, trade policy, our energy outlook.. when these things proceed get even worse via continuation of Bush's failed policies, I fully expect to hear no whining from your paper - you will be getting precisely what you've voted for.

3. I shot them a LONG note...
The only portion of this 'editorial' I agree with is the fact that our choice for President is obvious. That choice is NOT George Bush. "Bush’s strong and consistent record" is comprised largely of destructive self-interest and cronyism. He is reckless, uncaring and ignorant of reality.

John Kerry's senate record, however, speaks for itself. Cursory examination confirms the cherry-picked snippets of bills that Kerry has opposed, or the half-truths, misquotes and outright lies the Republican Party has built their campaign hopes around. This isn't the whole truth.

This man of privilege might have adhered to voting strict party line while ignoring the issues facing our nation, or living the good life, abstaining from politics altogether. But, that is not the path he has chosen. The majority of his life has been lived in service for the greater good of this country. He is a concerned, informed American, a hero and a patriot of the highest caliber who consistently puts the interests of the many ahead of those of the few.

Therein lies the real difference. George Bush's consistency stems largely from his steadfast commitment to corporate interests; drug companies, the energy industry, oil barons, in stark contrast to the real needs of our crumbling economy.

No, these poor and indiscriminate decisions will hang heavy around the neck of our economy for decades. They are not going to provide the jobs we so desperately need, nor provide the health care our children currently do without. This President's domestic policies are glaring examples of wrong choices.

Fiscal responsibility, honesty, intelligent problem solving. These are all traits which escape our current commander in chief and which are exemplified in Senator John Kerry. Truly, Mr. Kerry is the correct choice for America. Please give honest reconsideration to the current state of our nation, and vote accordingly on November 2nd.

5. I would think over the next few weeks they
should take our letters to heart..and when Kerry wins..they will be on the losing end.

7. Here is what Skittles sent:
What do I think? Well let's see: he lost the election and got his daddy's friends on the Supreme Court to steal it for him. He spent half his time on vacation and was sitting in a classroom reading a kiddie book when the worst terrorist attack on our nation occurred. Not knowing what to do HE JUST SAT THERE UNTIL SOMEONE TOLD HIM WHAT TO DO.

He bombed Afghanistan back when he thought Osama was the goal but his obsession with Iraq cut that commitment short. Based on a pack of lies America invaded and bombed and occupied a country that was NO THREAT TO US and now we wonder why they do not want us there. PEOPLE ARE BEING KILLED EVERY DAY.

The economy is in the gutter, environmental regulations are being trashed and the defecit is as far as the eye can see. No one I know is hopeful about the jobs market. Gas prices are high and health insurance is quickly becoming something only the upper class can afford; stem cell research is being thwarted, oh, I could go on and on but why bother?

Your endorsement of George W. Bush is a DISGRACE.
