O Ye of Little Faith (not trusting Bush = not trusting God???)
O Ye of Little Faith
By Debbie Daniel
October 13, 2004

It is so annoying to read all the carping and complaining by people in our self-proclaimed Christian nation, who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation and promise of eternal life, but for the things of this world, they want to slap George Bush up-side-the-head, and say "God, you gave us the wrong man."

Where is our trust in God?

I read a column today in my hometown newspaper and was so disheartened by the commentary that seemed to take into account every single error George Bush has made, and I trembled at the thought of the columnist being so critical of every detail of Bush's performance as President and then questioned again his service in the Air National Guard.

But it wasn't because of what the columnist said; it's because of who the columnist claims to be . . . a child of God.

Do we not believe God can use George Bush, whether or not he missed a physical in the guard? Where is our faith?

Do we not believe God can use George Bush whether or not he knows first hand "how awful war is?" Where is our trust?

Friends, our God can use just about anyone He pleases to lead this nation, because HE IS GOD, and when God is in control, it doesn't matter who's driving the car.

The entire article was a slap in the face, not only to George Bush, but if we truly believe what the Bible says . . . our Heavenly Father just got a whack in the face, too.

snip...

Do you not see that Satan has used you in a fight for what God has ordained all along? Go ahead and be a puppeteer for Satan's army . . . he has many volunteers, but it takes a brave man to stand alone; it takes a courageous warrior to look the enemy in the eye.

Only a true man of God can do it.

Then the writer went off on a comparison of George Bush to Gregory Peck's Atticus Finch or Gary Cooper's Sheriff in High Noon . . . that they wouldn't do this. (???) And the columnist ends the "screen actor to presidential" comparisons with: Pathetic.

Gee, how many times can Bush be called "pathetic?"

Oh, dear Lord in Heaven, please forgive us, for we know not what we do. We're going to pay a high price for this war . . . not the one on terrorism as much as the one we've waged against God.

I'm sorry, but we've slapped God in the face and I'm not sure we're worthy of having a man like George Bush to lead us.

But please know that if Mr. Kerry becomes President, don't think for a moment I won't be praying for him . . . probably more than you could imagine.

2. I'm a Christian too
and this article is utterly blasphemous. I follow Christ, not men who claim that they follow Christ.

8. Christianity's own Shabbatai Zevi
Shabbatai Zevi (also spelled "Zvi") was a lunatic mystic who managed to convince a large number of European and Near-Eastern Jews that he was the Messiah.

He collected many followers and decided to invade Constantinople, drive out the wicked Moslems, and reign over the world. The invasion was disastrous.

Sound like any one we know?

Sultan Mohammed of Constantinople offered him the choice of converting to Islam or being executed. Shabbatai Zevi converted, put on a turban, and was kept as a pampered pet of the court. A number of his followers survived in Turkey and were called the Donmeh.

To this day, Jews who speak even a little Yiddish use the term "Shabtzitvainik" (shopped-see-tvai-nick) as a synonym for "fraud", "con artist" or "mountebank".

"... In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation." (Psalm 146:2)

Like so many on the radical right, miss Debbie confuses faith in God with faith in Bush.

3. This pathetic screed on God and bush* just scares me. How can anyone
be that deluded?

I do have to admit, I did get a couple chuckles out of this poor woman's (girl's) scribblings. They sound like something that you would hear coming from a cult member waiting for the spaceship to land.

And let God's will be done... :eyes:

That goes for the rest of Dubya's followers, too.

5. Huh??? Wow, when Clinton was President, I sure heard a different tune!
Born-agains were railing at him, could find nothing but fault in all his actions--not just those inappropriate Oval Office goings-on--and raving endlessly about America "choosing the economy over morality". Then there was that impeachment mantra: "It's not about sex it's about LYING!" Meanwhile, we were not in an ugly war, the economy was booming, the deficit was retired, we had a huge budget surplus, the environment was safe, crime rate was down...and this writer faults us for being concerned about the path to perdition our "Christian" president is taking us down? Glad her faith is so huge, 'cause I've almost lost mine lately. Sheesh!

Give Ms. Daniel the chance to keep her word and pray for President Kerry. DEFEAT BUSH!!

9. This is blasphemy
" And if you say, "It's all George Bush's fault . . . then you're saying it's God's fault."

--this is a line in this woman's article. She is a sick, sick woman.

The republican party is a sick, sick institution for presenting this as worthy commentary.

10. Damn, I've got to stop
reading the articles before checking the source. I honestly thought there was going to be a punchline at the end of this only to realize, lo and behold, it's not parody. O.M.G.

13. What this A-Hole wrote about Clinton
Edited on Tue Oct-19-04 07:29 PM by The Zanti Regent
http://www.americandaily.com/article/1336

There were so many “ugly” offerings last week of people wanting to get in their little digs, but none was so loud as President Clinton’s.

But after witnessing the full ceremony, it was really a blessing Mr. Clinton didn’t speak at all, for he would have fallen over the podium. Mercy, the man could not keep his eyes open. And Hillary wouldn’t have been any help, for she needed her own pillow. If Clinton’s jaw had dropped any lower, he would have been drooling.

It was obvious . . . his need to speak was not for Reagan; it was for Clinton.

And for anyone who thinks I should be excoriated for such a comment, I must say Mr. Clinton brought that on himself. He should have never said a word. When you call attention to yourself and ask for a pity party . . . you’ll get it. Okay, Mr. Clinton, I pity you.

This asshole only proves what a lying hypocrite she is!
