4. Bullshit---too cute by half
After spending the day in Texas and hearing the *excitement* amongst all sorts of people in regard to what is now going to be "fixed" about this country I guess I don't think Ms. Anderson's breezy little list is "entertaining"

I wish her luck dislodging the DLC. She'll need it.

6. Well, I beg to differ with a few
1) People Power can trump Presidential Power
Not really
Union membership is at its all time low in decades. That will affect labor, OSHA, EPA, commerce. The only bright spot is Congress decided to fight Chimp on the Fair Labor standards act.

2)2008. Well even though our economy is the most fucked up it's ever been, even worse than his father's first term, people still voted for the Chimp. I bet he will ask to remove the 22nd Amendment (2-term limit) so he can fuck up the country for another four.

3) temperature in Ottawa....won't be any colder than the crap we'll be dealing come January.

8. Didn't convince me - sorry.
Average Dec/January temp in Vancouver BC - 41 deg. F. That's a hell of a sight better than many avg winter temps of US cities.
The rainy weather - just like my native Seattle, and the summers are beautiful.
There are ways to get to Canada. If you have something to offer and you can string a sentence together (we Dems are much better at this than repukes), you can get there.
Sorry, I am gettin out of the way of the GOP facist steamroller.

9. Reason # -1 (a reason to GTF out of here) Living in NYC
We are a prime target. Not for our politics, but for our numbers. We are one of the most diverse and liberal urban centers in the country and the world. We’ve been attacked twice already. We get it. And we’ll probably get it again. That takes care of the fear factor.

How about other social issues like health care, civil rights, etc.? Canada is much more enlightened than the US. I wish the blue states could be provinces of Canada. It would make the red states so much more envious (in a bad way) of our progress.
