The Ground War (David Shuster)
Following are the wonderful statistics David Shuster promised to provide.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5445086/

Two things he leaves our of his surmised reasons for Bush's increased vote (barriing FRAUD):

1. Cheney's "It's the Nuclear Threat, Stupid". Fear mongering wins votes. This election was about fear. Remember the wolves? Remember Osama's quite timely appearance? Fear, fear, fear.

2. War-presidents almost never lose re-election. He should cease to compare this election with Gore's and instead compare it with Nixon's.

Man, I knew it. The second Olbermann left on his pre-planned (yeah right) vacation, the right wing spin would come screaming out of the wood work.

It's hopeless to expect anything but right-wing spin out of the media. Forget Olbermann, forget MSNBC. They're about money, we're about truth.

2. Olbermann's on vacation
I swear: I'm on vacation (Keith Olbermann)

Funny timing, I'd say, considering they expected month-long recounts.

4. Convenient ...isn't it...and now Shuster with his trash...Sort of like all
Edited on Sun Nov-14-04 06:27 PM by KoKo01
of us who tuned into Lou Dobbs on CNN thinking he was "fighting for us/against "outsourcing of jobs across America."

How fast they change their tune when they get the "White House/Rove/Chimp/BFEE/Corporate" Memo! Isn't it interesting how they "SPIN?"

Isn't it interesting how they keep thinking that MILLIONS of AMERICANS don't believe them anymore...but they pander and govel looking for the FOX Ratings...and that's all that matters. LOL's....ROFL...AMAZING!

5. Bait and switch
It's classic bait and switch.

Use something to draw the audience.
Once the audience is in, completely change the tune, to persuade them to yoru agenda.

They really think we're stupid.

Yes, anyone with business sense would know that looking for the Fox News ratings is futile. Fox has convinced the 'true believers' that everything else is "liberal". The best way to actually get viewers is to find your own niche. They aren't doing that.

The fact that they aren't attempting to find their own niche convinces me that they aren't just trying to "get viewers". Instead, they're trying to saturate the media with right-leaning spin, so we don't know what's real anymore....so that we think being moderate means being liberal. (Bad us, for thinking that, right?)

The problem is, we have the internet. We can find reality on our own...hopefully as more and more of the computer-savy youth come of age, they'll abandon traditional news sources and find their information online too. This will be the downfall of the neocon agenda.
