Poor health care for Vets in Omaha
The Omaha VA and its clinics, historically, have made veterans wait weeks, if not months, for clinical appointments. In 2002, veterans waited 50 days for primary care appointments at the Omaha VA and its clinics. National data showed that this was one of the longest waits in the VA system.

The Denver Post reported that reservists and national guardsmen are warehoused on base with out treatment for months at a time. They can't go home either, leaving families and jobs waiting for their return.

2. Omaha, Nebraska
I know for a fact that Nebraska is a miserably red state which went for Bush by more than 50%. Of those who voted for the Chimpanzee, I wonder how many of them were vets? I would guess that a very large percentage of vets, indeed, voted Repuke and I just can't muster up much pity for them.

3. I live here, and you're right. God loving people who were democrats
until about 30 years ago. Then the civil rights and equal rights thing pushed these good Christian people into the republican party. The party that doesn't give a damn about them. Farmers had to rely on Live Aid and government handouts to keep them going. They don't make enough on their crops to keep them afloat. Corporate farming and corporate hog lots have taken over. But they'll still support the party that's killing them as long as blacks, Hispanics, gays, and women are kept in their place.

4. I understand how THAT is
I am from the South, and my state used to be a solidly Democatic one until integration of our schools, and god forbid the little white chidren attend school with children of other races! It's like a bunch of crazies now; we don't hear much about race nowadays, but one hears PLENTY about "secular humanism." Thank god I don't live down there anymore. . . .
