Obama would have beaten Ryan, even without the sex scandal.

Many white, rural areas went overwhelmingly for Obama. He won my area about 2-1.

I don't think it is right to minimize his win, and say it is not a "real victory." He had the support even before the primary. What you say is insulting.

I think he could beat any number of white repukes.

6. You can run, but you can't hide

Unbeknownst to most, Canada has similar issues as well. They have a great country now, but it needs to be maintained. We have a country on the verge of social downturn. If we leave, who will fight here? And when we have all left, and this country is damaged beyond repair, they will come for us. They will come for the world. You can't get away. You can only run or fight it.

I am a french- canadian in Québec city. I see myself as a citizen of the world who has a powerfull and (so far) friendly neighbour.
I am horrified to see where the bush co is going and what he has done to all of you. I want to get involved in a more direct way. So far with info from your site I was able to alert the CBC and SRC (french side of CBC). I also sent links about the stolen election to investigating journalist asking them to dig.

At this point in time I don't think I will adopt a lefty. The USA needs all the liberal thinkers to stay and fight.
If ever it gets too dangerous for you guys to stay and fight from within, you will be more then welcome to live with us and we will be right beside you to defend the basics rights of all human beings.

You have my respect and admiration for your courage and hard work to keep democracy alive. The same goes to your fellow moderators, bloggers, and all the activists pitching in.

You will be wise to leave in droves. Huge numbers of Canadians will be willing to take you in. We have a petition going now to persuade our government to let draft dodgers stay here. I don't know how any ethical human being can fight in that completely immoral war. It's difficult not to be wholeheartedly on the side of the Iraqis and if it gets much worse Osama Bin Laden will start to look like Robin Hood. I don't think Americans can begin to understand how people outside your country view Bush's invasion of Iraq. 911 is starting to look like peanuts compared to the horrors you are inflicting on the inhabitants of that poor country. I don't know how intelligent people can rationalize that war. I hope Kerry will get you out of there PDQ if he gets in. Why do the pundits say that Muslims are turning against the U.S? It's not only the Muslims, folks, it's the whole damned world!
