John Nichols: Condoleezza Rice is a politician, not a diplomat

By John Nichols
November 19, 2004

Two weeks before the 2004 presidential election, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice made a solemn pronouncement about her desire to remain outside the political fight between Democrat John Kerry and President Bush, who this week appointed her secretary of state.

"I think it's important that we not campaign," Rice said of national security aides. She emphasized that this was a particular concern because "we are in a time of war."

Rice made her comment during an interview with KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, which beamed it into the homes of millions of voters in the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.

Then, in a display of her nonpolitical approach, Rice proceeded to rip into Kerry's charge that the Bush administration had botched the search for Osama bin Laden. Kerry's assertion "is just not true," raged Rice, before again disputing the notion that she was campaigning for Bush.

2. I don't think the bitch is a politician, either,
because politicians know how to compromise, how to make deals. She's a rigid cold war ideiologue who has been totally out of her depth for over a decade. She was in the echo chamber of the NSA (a training ground for fascists, an illegal, unconstitutional shadow goveernment signed into existence by Harry Truman) and now she's infecting the whole government with a distorted worldview, cult of personality, and sheer incompetence.

She is perhaps the worst choice out there for Secretary of State. She is not competent enough to be called a politician.

Hell, the damned fool can't even keep her own lies straight.

3. Bit of relevant trivia
The article cites a comment by "her deputy James Wilkinson", that, in these lecture tours to battleground states, she has continued the non-poliitical nature of her job. Which we all know is that is total horseshit, laughable even.

Longtime observers of the Rise of the Chimp Reich will recognize his name. He first came to public attention as part of the "Stoppen Das Voten!" "Bourgeoise riot" in Miami Dade.

To reward him for loyalty to Bush over loyalty to the Constitution, His Chimperial Majesty gave him a totally cool new job -- media spokesman in the War for Chimpire. Although a civilian, like all the prominent chickenhawks, every day he donned a neat military uniform, stood there in front of that elaborate media set they had built in Qatar, and tell the world how flawlessly His Chimperial Highness's war was being executed by our brave men and women in uniform.

So now he's bullshitting for Condi.

Shit floats.
