Political Parties Shift Emphasis to Core Voters
This comes from today's New York Times:

"In a fundamental reassessment of presidential political strategy, White House and Democratic Party officials say that turning out core Republican and Democratic voters will be more critical to next year's election than winning independent voters, long a prime target in national campaigns."

I don't agree with the "nearly lost" crack in the paragraph above, but I do think that voter turnout will be a key in this election. Read the entire article at:

1. I think the number of swing voters has decreased.
I do believe that voters have polarized.
I also believe that a progressive candidate can bring
back former voters who have been alienated by the entire
system.

We will not have to win over the Republicans.
Their true base is the Ralph Reed set.
But Bush cannot win if that is all he gets
and the paleo conservatives are bailing on
the totalitarian theocracy.
