Soft Approach To Cannabis Said Working In The UK

The reclassification of cannabis from a class B to a class C drug has been as openly welcomed as it has been vilified.

At a Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) meeting yesterday, the general consensus was that this move had been a positive one.

Reshard Auladin, Deputy Chair of the MPA said, “Most violent crimes in the capital are linked to alcohol. I have never seen an incident where an assault has been linked to cannabis. A fortune is spent bringing people to court and then they can be fined as little as £25.”

1. It's a sham - just a money grab!!!
The have essentially reduced possession to a fine, and beefed up the penalties for trafficking to the same standard as Herion or Cocaine trafficking...

and often involves the same networks for hard and soft drugs.

Getting off the backs of the people, and not putting kids in jail,
is a step in the right direction. It is a process, and though not yet perfect, is no sham.

Eventually, trafficking will be obselete.

3. What would the police do without cannabis?
The pungent odor gives them license to search people, cars, motel rooms, and homes without a warrant. They'll never give it up, not here in Florida anyway.

4. I remember a truism from back in the day...
Something like...cops have the best smoke.

The truth of it all is so bizarre.
