London shows us how to oust a media mogul

Media Matters has this interesting item:

BLACKED OUT

A new book reconstructs the behind-the-scenes interplay among the characters who forced Conrad Black's ouster as the publisher of the Telegraph of London, the Chicago Sun-Times and The Jerusalem Post. As such, it provides a corporate governance primer, a tutorial for investors confronting errant leadership that, by virtue of majority ownership, considers itself immutable.

I've been saying all along that we need to become investors in our publicly held media organizations, then raise hell at stockholder meetings over how the corporate media's pro-GOP bias and blackout of important issues is harming the networks' credibility--and risking investors' money. If the stocks go down as a result, shareholder lawsuits could be filed to bring these media moguls to heel.
