1. Too bad the shark is eating America
and not whistleass.

Actually this toon is way off. Iraq isn't the shark, Bush is. He started this war and he's the killer. Iraq and Saddam were contained before Bush came in and fucked it up. "America" isn't crying for help, Bush is only trying to save his own ass. Even so, he's not asking for help, he's demanding the UN get on board under his supreme command even though he's been pissing on them for years.

4. I agree, usually Benson really lays into bush*, maybe he has been
told to lay low on the bush*bashing by his masters. This is "The Arizona Repulican" paper, after all.

3. Meh
There's too many ways to take this.

Yes, Iraq could be considered a shark, that's eating the U.S. alive.

But the U.S. were warned 'It's not going to be safe in there!'

And so we didn't listen and went in anyway.

Now the Lifeguard who put up the warning is going 'Fine, we'll help, but we need to talk about a few things first.'

That's MY view of it.

It COULD be viewed as the U.N. is letting the shark eat the U.S., and not helping, instead wanting to talk while the Shark has a snack.

Turning the U.N. into the badguy, when it should be the U.S. looking like a goomba.
