My imagination, or did Judy Woodruff appear lame interviewing Dean?
Edited on Fri Jan-09-04 04:57 PM by MissMarple
She kept asking the same question about his comment four years ago regarding the Iowa primary. After about the third time it looked pretty sleazy.

Also, check out this DU thread re American Conservative magazine's article on Clear Channel. Hmm... :D

1. Howard Dean never gave a direct answer. I don't object to her asking.

Dean never said whether he currently thinks Iowa caucuses are dominated by special interests or not.

I wouldn't mind him saying yes or no, but I wanted him to answer the question.

2. What, where?
Edited on Fri Jan-09-04 05:10 PM by joefree1
She badgered him on the four year old interviews and he explained what he feels now. Actually I thought she did a great job aping the nit picking press looking for a chink in Deans amour.

On edit: I see where you edited your post. Dean answered that now that he has had a chance to work with the different caucuses over the last two years he has changed his mind. In fact he replied that the caucus has helped his candidacy.

BTW Judy asked the same question three of four times which made her look like she was badgering Dean and didn't want to talk about the Harkin endorsement.

If you want slick don't vote for Dean.

3. Thank you, badgering is a good way to put it.
Even if she didn't get the answer she was fishing for, it looked bad.

I will vote for almost anyone but George&Co.

She is a dried-up, menopausal crone....what else can you expect?

6. Know what's funny about this? Iowans aren't stupid
they already KNOW that the caucuses are dominated buy special interests.

At the end of the day, Howard Dean looks as good ashe did before. This is very desperate and it doesn't resonate with people who appreciate honesty.

7. Judy Woodruff is the Mother of all Media Whores. But I must
admit she's looking a tad better these days -- almost lifelike.

today one anchor said to Wolfe...that he thinks the moon and mars plan is a good idea...and then went on to make this stupid statement...How would you feel if China put their flag on the moon first?

My God - the media rot is even worse than I'd thought - and I thought it was pretty frickin' bad!

16. Huh?
They put her makeup on with a trowel! Next time they show her picture for an ad, look at her neck in comparison to her face. She's got more chins than a Chinese phonebook.

8. Now, Wolf just referred to Dean as "resilient" in reacting to Judy's
questioning. Now, how nice is that? Judy was just testing his mettle. :D

14. Dean is so immune to whore Judy.
Last time he was on the show, she asked him four
or five times if he "felt guilty for getting out
of Vietnam with a bad back when other kids with
bad backs had to go" or some such bullshit.

I nominate thee Judy for whore of the week.
:puke:
