Tweety confesses to neo-neo-con leanings
At the end of the LONG segment with Richard Perle and David Frum, Tweety hawks their new book, says it's "great" and "tough" and says it has convinced him.

Tweety. Neo-hawk. Neo-neo-con.

He's so gullible.

3. nobody's fooled by him
...but sometimes we're astounded at the weathervane where his moral certitude should be.

He also called Perle "charming."

4. I meant DUers who cheer him when he's "nice" to our guys
He sides himself with those in power, or those who generate income for his bosses. That's all. I didn't mean to imply those who commented in your thread thus far had been fooled. :)

10. I can't help it. I love his questions.
He asked Ed Gillespie, RNC Chairman, if Bush would "dodge" the debates next fall. At the moment in time, I loved him.

5. You could almost see his head spinning around like Linda Blair's
They're gonna have to come up with a new term for the psychosis he suffers from. Schizophrenia doesn't quite do it.

6. Easy for him to say.

As if Tweety's lily white, lard ass will ever be put in harm's way as part of a neo-CON imperial army imposing the neo-CON dream of a Pax Americana on the less enlightened races since it's the "Peasants Under Glass" that provide the shock troops for the imperial adventures.

At least one son. Maybe he's already post-draft age.

9. I'm sorry, but Tweety is just a plain old nutbag
and his show is truly insane--I think the take-off they do on SNL is pretty close to reality.

22. Sorry, Gotta Disagree abt SNL's Portrayal of Him
It has devolved. At the beginning, HAMMOND "did" Tweezer as the nutcase he is, Tweezer being the center of the satire. As time went on, they expanded to more characters, Dan COULTER and others, and it became a parade of loons with Tweezer being the SANE one, shaking his head in disbelief while his looney guests said looney things. So HAMMOND is *not* being true.

Sidebar re-post: The only funny line in SNL the past two or three years was HAMMOND as Tweezer, cracking himself up when he said, "For the ------*FIFTY*-------people who watch this show (Hardball)..."

2nd Sidebar: Tweezer was INCREDIBLY thrilled the first time HAMMOND "did" him, saying, "I am now an ICON: I have been 'done' on Saturday Night Live." This is also the same shallow dude who claims hero status for having worked 3 months as a Capitol policeman (read, "rent-a-cop") and for having CYNICALLY USED the Peace Corps to evade Vietnam instead of doing harder things like going to Canada, or protesting HERE, or GOING to Vietnam. Nothing against the Peace Corps for those who actually join for noble reasons, but am pointing out his CYNICAL USE of the Peace Corps. As for the recurring canard about his being anti-war because he has draft-age sons, I repeat yet again that he's not about PRINCIPLED stances.

11. He works for a right wing corporation
and he wants a job for his family and his career.

I've never heard him push a Dem cause in all the years he's been on - and I never read his columns before he showed us his talent for interrupting and putting words in peoples' mouths.

He/It could be worse - he could move over to Fox.

15. A corrupt arms dealer wrote a book called "An End to Evil".
And Chris Matthews is taken in by it. Perle's arguments are not only flawed and naive, they're downright immoral.

CHRIS. He is a freaking ARMS DEALER, and he wrote a book about HOW TO "END EVIL".

I'm sorry, but you'd have to be downright brain damaged not to laugh out loud at the very idea. To actually be convinced by it? Jesus Christ...
