Will Grover Norquist drown himself?
http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml%3Fi=20010514&s=dreyfuss

"My goal is to cut government in half in twenty-five years," he says, "to get it down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub."

Well, Grover here (and he ain't the cute blue furry monster on Sesame Street, though he clearly IS a monster...) is straightforward in his pro-privatization ideals and feels the government should drown (gee, doesn't that make him a traitor or something? Overthrowing the government and all that?). Quite the idiot as well, but nobody's perfect.

I love it when conservatives make stupid statements because they go down the drain along with it.

Norquist is a winner here, ranks right up there with Bush. He hasn't said nearly as many dumb things, but when he says something, he says a real whopper.

2. So who voted for him?
Or does he just think that there will be an endless supply of Republican presidential candidates who need someone to think for them?

3. This guy is hilarious...

Not all government cut, just the part that helps people.

The part that lies, steals, cheats, enforces, spies, destroys, incarcerates, profits from illegal war, etc..

That part is just find with Grover.

4. If he's not up to the task, I will volunteer
He's a disgusting piece of shit. I was telling my SO last week that it's probably a good thing that we don't live in DC because Norquist has to walk down the sidewalk sometimes. And I value my freedom...

6. he's just angry about his childhood ice cream...
i think it was in Brock's book that said Grover's dear old dad would teach him to hate taxes by taking bites out if little Grover's ice cream, leaving him with some sick psycho-Daddy rage that he is taking out on all of us...

Also, I believe Brock said he kept a picture of Lenin hanging in his house. Lenin, who was nothing but an elitist and had nothing but distain for the average joe Russian peasant.

Bite me Grover, you little freak.

7. He is at least honest and consistent about what he wants
He is at least straightforward about wanting to return to Gilded Age economics AND he has been consistent in his small government beliefs: he opposes the USA Patriot Act and has been fervent in his criticism of the Bush Administration's destruction of civil liberties.

10. I will give the guy some credit then.
It's only fair.

If only the Republican party would really work for bipartisanship, we'd be a better country. Bipartisanship in favor of the people, not the corporations. We helped them in the 1980s and 1990s and it gave us the vile anti-people/society mess we're in now. Yes, 1990s... I got some documentation today that was not very pleasant to read...
