Report: Chemical Weapons Cache Found in Iraq


That's what I saw this morning when I got to my computer, whose homepage is set to Netscape's page ever since I installed that browser.

Now tell me - how many of you, when looking at that headline, picture mortar shells in plastic bags dumped and probably forgotten in a dried up marsh?

Bye Bye Netscape - I think it's time to finally make that move to Opera.

5. If it is true, then it IS a legitimate news story.

However, the tests are preliminary field tests that are designed to err on the side of a positive reaction. Detailed lab tests are needed. I am not going to comment until those tests are back, and more information is known.

6. what difference would it make?

Those mortar shells are left over from the Iran-Iraq war. They're useless today. It's already common knowledge that Saddam Hussein had and used chemical weapons fifteen years ago, from which these rounds evidently date. This isn't news at all, unless one takes it as an indication of just how lame the administration's WMD claims really were.

8. Here's how to change your home page. Surf to a page you

want as a home page, then go into the preferences and you will see the url for the home page. There should be a button to make the current page as you home page.

I have made a simple links page containing my favorites. I use it for my home page.

9. The misleading headline was written or approved

by an AP writer. Unfortunetly many people don't bother reading beyond the headline.

Sorry I didn't make that clear in my post. I should have said I was changing from Netscape to Opera out of protest of the headline. My mistake!
