3. It's not just O'Neil....there are a hundred other sources....
But we need to understand that DU and the NET is usually weeks ahead of the corporate media on stories such as these. This story is backed up with 19,000 pages of documents. It is not going away and it cannot be made to disappear...it is going to be in a book. This is a big headache for Bush and Cheney.

10. I want to agree with you
but I think this might all be forgotten soon. The media is just too lazy and bought off to keep this going.

4. Disgruntled employee,
he can't be trusted, he never fit in, etc.

What they're not saying is that is that either he's telling the truth or Bush selected a liar as his Secretary of the Treaury. ;-)

13. And if Bush* selected one LIAR could he have selected more?
And if he selected more than one LIAR maybe his judgement is impaired. ;-)

5. What I heard
first the news came at a time when there was no news shows - saturday evening. I noticed that there was no hardball no nothing, financial shows and those explorer shows that are on MSNBC when there is no news.

Then I finally heard it mentioned on CNN today; they mentioned the O'neill statements and then the whitehouse response which said that he was a disgruntled former employee.

However, keep in mind that he has the goods on CD and these will no doubt be sifted through and played into the big picture of what happened inside that the whitehouse has been hiding this whole time.

6. On Wolfie this morning Bob Dole
Edited on Sun Jan-11-04 03:45 PM by LibDemAlways
trotted out the line that O'Neill had come from the corporate world and didn't have good
insider repuke credentials - in other words he couldn't be trusted to parrot the party line and
his appointment was a mistake from the get go.

8. So Bush really fucked up when he chose him, I guess
Gee, maybe if that is the case, then I should start to question Bush's judgement on some of his other appointments.

12. Bob Dole
a true Repub. Sticking to the party line. I am sure Bob Dole has been to all the cabinet meetings in the last three years instead of cooking for his wife.

9. They are echoing one another absolutely. Surprise!
You might want to check out my humble thread on Rove's talking points. Believe me, I was in the car today, and specifically listened to right wing talk radio and have been all over the Internet. Rove has issued his talking points, and they are being parroted absolutely. Remarkable how they are all saying the same thing. FR has been fun; as soon as the Freepers hear it, they regurgitate it on their forum ("it" being the message put forth by the White House). That's a good place to check out what the talking points are, if you have a strong stomach.

11. One interesting thing O'Neill says
is that the three who didn't bow to the Rove/Cheney line were himslef, Whitman, and Powell. I wonder if Whitman has anything to say on this or will she just keep her mouth shut. I've lost faith in the integrity of Powell so I don't expect to ever hear this type of truth telling from him. Also, O'Neill thought he'd be serving a President governing from the middle, I wonder if there are others in the admin who also thought this and might be willing to talk eventually.

14. I can only hope
that Hannity will say that he is a disgruntled employee and not to be trusted while talking to Dick Morris.
