6. I bloody well hope so!
It's about damn time that it's not just about the fuckin' bottom line!

Put money into your workers and they will do a better job and give you loyalty. Surely this is something a big business would WANT?!?!?!

I've given my employer my all and my loyalty and I could lose my job due to outsourcing. If that happens, I pray the IT department falls to pieces. The director, literally Hitler reincarnated (which is utterly, utterly sad), deserves no less.

As it stands, there are very few people in America who I'd want to work for. And a lot of people I'd be tempted to yell at in person for their anti-american-infrastructuralism and short sighted pure greed. x(

7. Dell will pull out only long enough
....to find a vendor who gives the elocution lessons demonstrated on 60 Minutes tonight. They teach generic American accents and assign English-sounding pseudonyms to their boiler room employees to make Mr and Mrs Suburbia think they're talking to somebody in this country.

Apparently Dell's vendor let them sound the way they always do and use their own accents, which a lot of dimbulb Americans can't understand.

13. Dell won't be pulling out for the online tech supporters, just the phones.
Too many people were complaining because they couldn't understand the person who was trying to help them. Dell will keep the online tech supporters because, well, there's no accent when chatting or sending emails, etc. :grr:

3. "Sick" doesn't even begin
to describe it. This should put the nail in the coffin of EVERY freeper and 'Murican who's convinced that Shrub and the GOP actually care about them and whether or not they have jobs, and are trying to create jobs and improve the economy for them. I am bookmarking this and showing it to ALL the wingnuts I know, including co-worker, and everyone on here should do the same.

4. Indians have to work harder to overcome inherent karmic inequalities.
O8)

Gentle viewers, be not upset that Bush is exporting American jobs to India. Be upset that he's not levelling their karmic playing field. While most American's are Christians (source) and will upload straight to Heaven after life is over, the humble Indian must repeat a life of toil and strife due to a hegemonic caste system that is blatantly unfair to poor and uneducated "untouchables".

If Mr. Bush (we cannot call him President) were to demonstrate a genuine concern of the "little guy" he would ask Mr. Sweeney of the AFL-CIO to collectively bargain better afterlife benefits for the underclass in India. By doing so, they would earn a higher karmic salary and be able to skip lives full of toil in convenience stores, hotels, boiler room telemarketing operations, hospitals, and engineering and architecture firms thus leaving more jobs for regular Americans.

Let us only hope that Mr. Dean (to whom we will proudly refer to as President) can correct this spiritual injustice.

10. Well, both religions are bonkers
When we die, we die. Fin.

Maybe the mega-wealthy know this yet spread the Gospel, keeping hushed on the passages that refer to greed being bad and helping each other being good, to the rest of us.

11. hold on here
that is a flimsy and horribly 2-d portrayal of hinduism my friend, perhaps i need not remind you that early "hinduism" started with the belief that there was a heaven and hell but unlike the bookies they moved on

:evilfrown:

My gentle colleague, you misunderstand me and, lo, I am wounded. I meant merely to point out (and therefore, extend awareness to) that others do not enjoy the same freedoms and protections (such as a union may confer) as do we. Injustice is injustice and must be fought as such.

Namaste.

12. Yup, 19 US states have done this lunacy, and not to forget
CREDIT REPORTING BUREAUS.

While Mr. India will tell us on the telly that their systems are secure (and that US counterparts aren't in an attempt to make the US look like the bad guy), what is the truth is something we don't know. Indeed, from the articles I had read (thank you Internet!), laws combined with inadequate security make it EASIER FOR CREDIT INFORMATION TO BE STOLEN. There are ways apart from pencil and paper to keep information...

17. I heard Bernie Sanders on radio the other day.
A caller reported that the food stamp program of one state was based in India. Bernie said he would get on it.

BERNIE'S ON THE JOB. Call your reps if your state, county, or city has ANY jobs outsourced. NIP THIS DAMN THING IN THE BUD. Embarrass the hell out of that government entity, and make some of them quit!!

I don't understand how this is not a security issue. I don't want my personal information known to someone half a world away. Heck I don't want my next door neighbor to have that sort of access.

What the hell is happening here?

18. Nebraska Has TOURISM info line in India!
Lou Dobbs (who is enraged about outsourcing) had the governor of Nebraska on not too long ago and raked him over hot coals for sending the customer service jobs for Nebraska *tourism* information - to INDIA!

Nebraska's always complaining about the lack of good jobs in the state, and how that causes younger residents to flee the state in search of employment and better opportunities. What hypocrisy!
