Uncovered:The whole truth about the Iraq war

This controversial and arresting film takes you behind the walls of government, as CIA, Pentagon and foreign service experts speak out, many for the first time, detailing the lies, misstatements and exaggerations that served as the reasons to fight a "preemptive" war that wasn't necessary. This documentary offers an in-depth look at the unsettling distortion of intelligence and the "spin and hype" presented to the American people, the Congress and the press. Fighting wars to bring about regime change is in breach of international law. Yet, throughout the fall of 2002, and into the weeks preceding the war in Iraq, the Bush administration systematically distorted intelligence evidence and misled the public in order to turn opinion favor of "regime change" in Iraq.

The film will present interviews with more than 20 experts, all of whom have informed opinions about the reasons we were given for war and the evidence presented to support those reasons. Some supported the war itself but are deeply concerned about the way information was misused. All believe it is their duty to speak up.

The Myth of the Liberal Media

3. Both of these are "burnable?" Clueless here. But I have a CD RW but am
on "Dial-Up." Can I just "download to file" then right click on it later and burn it on to a CD? Or, would the time just be to much to bother?

4. If you're using dial-up, you'll need some patience.

If you're using dial-up, you'll need some patience and a good download manager. The Chomsky file is in Real Player format and is over 37 megabytes in size. You should be able to download it overnight. The other file is over 351 megabytes in size and will take many days (actually, it might be doable in one day if you don't drop the connection and everything goes well but I'm assuming that you --like myself-- don't have the luxury of a dedicated line and are relegated to setting up a download manager to work overnight). The best option might be to find someone who has a broadband connection.

As to the files being "burnable", one is real media and (guessing from the filename) one is xVid (a relatively recent open source MPEG4 implementation --see http://www.xvid.org/ for information) and they wouldn't be playable directly by most DVD players out there (but should be playable on any computer with the right players and codecs installed). I assume that's what you're asking about.

And to answer the question, the second will take a long time and the first is probably too long to bother with.

On Edit: Spelling.
On Edit: Answering the question.
