4. On the tv....
...the talking heads have a serious case of rabies. It is a thing of beauty. The people on Fox keep saying, "Yeah, but he got FIRED..." and trying to smear O'Neill. It's not working! (Fox continues to put out the "cougar alert!" perhaps the most pathetic attempt to get people to be afraid of EVERYTHING, and to ignore the very real DAMAGE being done to bush & co by O'Neill and Kevin Phillip's book, American Dynasty!!! It's GREAT to be a democrat!!!!

not that I'm paying a lot of attention the FReep's response, but so far they've been saying he's bitter for getting dumped, and he's got a case of sour grapes.

 Anything against a Republican is "much ado about nothing" The slightest little thing about a Democrat including their haircut or color of clothes they wear is huge news.

9. I used to listen a bit, but discovered it was serious brain washing, Rush
actually said that ...'many of you disagree with me, but if you will keep listening you will eventually be changed over to my way of thinking. Then they started calling their followers "Ditto Heads".

Rush and that kind, use an insidious method to brainwash people into using Apriori logic.. and It is like a Flash, a Revelation all at once what they are talking about and it seems as if it is from GOD.

The problem is that the conclusion comes first and the premise follows, so that any input comes to the same conclusion. I supports their view or you are one of those that are the problem described/defined by their view/dogma.

The system doesn't work out very well, example: supply side economics would work if it wasn't for the tax and spend liberals. so when the problems start rolling in, they are externalized to the opposition or Ossama Ben Forgotten, the Palestinians, the French, the liberals, Green Peace, tree huggers, THE LIBERAL MEDIA...

LIBERAL: adj,1/ favoring political reforms tending toward 'DEMOCRACY'. 2/..having views or policies that favor the 'FREEDOM of individuals' to act or express themselves in a manner of their own choosing.

so the problem with the 'Liberal media is that it supports Democracy and free speach.... HUMmmmm... who the hell are these people and how do they get away with this crap OVER AND OVER ???!!!

SO IT SEEMS THAT THE REICH WINDERS ARE AGAINST DEMOCRACY AND FREE SPEACH....:tinfoilhat: :grr:

6. I heard Boortz briefly, dissing O'Neill
He made much over the fact that O'Neill says in his book that Nixon and Ford were motivated mostly by something, not politics (can't remember exactly what, sorry), but that GWBush is heavily political in everything. Boortz jumped all over that like a fly on s**t, saying that Nixon was The Most Political President Ever (implying that therefore O'Neill is already FOS). He said it's no surprise that Bush wanted to remove Saddam early in his "presidency"; that we should be concerned if he DIDN'T want to. The lying POS even went so far as to say that Bill Clinton had a plan to invade Iraq back in 1997. Hello? Clinton was given that plan by PNAC but rejected it for the imperialist garbage that it was and remains. He has linked to UN resolutions on his web site to support his pathetic position.

I hate Neal Boortz with a passion. I hate him worse than I hate Reich Limpballs. He talks in a whine, through his nose and he thinks he's real cerebral and intellectual. Today Bores said it's "Da Godfadda's" birthday (so Limpballs is a Capricorn, which I don't at all approve of, since many of my favorite friends are Capricorns) and that if it hadn't been for Limpball's influence, he (Bores) would be a lawyer today instead of a lying SOS radio windbag.

8. I was watching the Packers lose to the Eagles
so I missed the interview. I don't know what O'Neill said that has everyone so excited. Rights PO'ed and lefty's exuberant. The only thing that I have heard was that Bush was called blind and his cabinet members deaf. Also, Bush didn't like Saddam from the start and there were plans to take him out. What's the big deal?

Edited on Mon Jan-12-04 12:51 PM by skypilot
...what the "big deal" is.

Ask the UN Security Council, whom this administration lied to, what the big deal is. Ask the countries that followed us into the quagmire in Iraq, based on those same lies, what the big deal is.

20. So that was it???
We had plans stashed away to invade Iraq? I would hope that we would have some plans drawn up. I don't want a military to be asked to react quickly, looking around for a map of Iraq saying, "maybe we could Bolivia as a staging area" or "damn...Krauts are in Paris again". A guy disagrees with his boss, losses his job and he thinks his boss and all the others that disagreed with him are idiots. I bet that never happened anywhere else in the world before. That was an excellent suggestion, I will ask the UN Security Council (I feel safer already, just thinking about them being on the job).

21. "So that was it???"
If by "that" and "it" you mean the fact that this administration lied to this country and the world about it's reasons for wanting to go to war in Iraq then yes, that was it. I guess you don't mind being lied to. I guess you didn't mind being told that we could be gassed, infected or irradiated at any minute if we didn't go and bomb the hell out of Iraq. I guess you don't mind the fact that so much of our resources have be sunk into Iraq instead of into the real war on international terrorism which did NOT have its locus in Iraq. And I guess you don't mind having a president who really DOESN'T stand up for what he believes in since O'Neill informed us that Bush was reluctant to push through the second round of tax cuts but was prevailed upon by Rove and did it anyway. You really should have watched the show.

22. You're a
lot of talk for someone who doesn't even have their facts straight.

It's not about whether he "disagreed" and got fired or he thinks all of them are "idiots," it's about deception and lies to the tune of billions of dollars to the American people and the loss of life, which is now pushing over the 500 mark--not to mention the thousands mangled and wounded for life.

You don't seem to care to much for anything but the NFL play-off season, so why don't you just stick to that since you obviously know nothing of what you speak of.

23. You have the memory of the typical American.
Although the administration now denies it one of the ostensible reasons we went to war was to prevent terror attacks, like 9/11. Whenever the need for invasion was debated the cry of "soft on terror," attack was heard from the right. O'Neill's news puts that bamboozle to rest.

Another ostensible reason for the invasion was supposedly the risk of immediate danger. Again the right claims that there was no such claim, but that is total bullshit. Simply look at the number of "orange" days in the lead up to the war, or the little vial of anthrax Powell brought with him to the UN. O'Neill puts that lie to rest also.

The list goes on but I suspect that your mind won't be changed if I include it.

Now, there is a substantial number of American who don't care how often their president lies to them, and obviously you are part of that group. There is however a minority, but growing, number of Americans who still think that not every policy declaration should be a laughable lie, I'm in that group.

I have a question, can you tell me of a major policy imitative where the administration was honest with the public? Just one?
