Arkansas conservatives up in arms over Bush |
|
I'm listening to a local conservative show. (Dave Elswick)
The callers in general (even though they voted for him) they're mad as hell about his immigration plan.
Several callers have stated that he's a liberal. And go so far as to say that all conservatives are angry at Bush.
But the best part is, they seem to think all liberals are siding with Bush on this issue, and we love him for it! We do?

we believe that Bush has the interests of his corporate buddies at heart, not the welfare of the immigrants or the American people.

In Nashville, the repubs are indeed angry, and are making the same false claim to liberal concurrence.
However, I'm a working class liberal, and this puts my job in jeopardy...and the jobs of millions of others who are already just scraping by, so I think it's an absolutely idiotic idea.

4. idiots. just because they hate it, it doesn't mean we like it! |
|
They don't like it because they think it compromises security.
We don't like it because, as always, Bush cares more for the welfare of corporations than actual human beings.
Ann Richards warned us though. She said he would spend the first half of his term pushing an extreme right wing agenda and then spend the second half attempting to appear moderate for the sake of getting re-elected.

we probably share the exact same reasons- this time- about the problem with immigration laws, namely job threatening that benefits only the business overseers. And this structured reality, not a fear.
Has Bush made this perfectly clear to them yet or will they be mollified by lies?

6. Umm, yeah, we liberals support Bush's immigration plan! |
|
So, uh, you Republicans can just stay at home come election time - alritey? - we'll do all the voting for George Bush because we know how he loves immigrants so much! O.K., so let's tuck you into bed now you have a big day of Nascar watching ahead of you.

8. I think we should have exactly the same policy for Mexico as we do |
|
Canada. If we have different policies it is because of racism IMHO.
