Wow, Bush* pushing "free trade" to Central America... |
|
From compuserve: ``Over the long term, trade is the most certain path to lasting prosperity,'' Bush said during the summit's opening ceremony. ``Together we will ... lift all our nations, and show the world that free societies and free markets can deliver real benefits to our citizens.''
Gee, didn't Bill Clinton say something similar regarding NAFTA?
We did get prosperity. For the big corporations. In an oil or gas crisis, it'll help the US more.
Has it helped you though?
Even Canada is speaking out against "free trade" the US is pushing, speaking of unfair advantages for US corporations.
The next President had better be a liberal who is not in favor of "free trade" as Clinton and Bush* have defined and implemented it...
