1. I knew it had to be somewhere
I figured * was just getting some money into the hands of California, Texas and Florida - but that seemed too innocent. Now we know - thanks for the post.

2. ???
What are they going to do with the oil when they get it? Send a tanker truck over to collect it? Build a pipeline?

4. What if oil was found?
Heaven forbid we should leave it alone. We would have to pillage another planet's ecosystem so rich Republicans can continue driving SUV's.

5. I can see an awesome DNC ad depicting...
the Average Joe taking money out of his/her pocket and placing it right into the bulging pockets of some stiff standing under a Halliburton sign...

Every time I think it can't get worse, this adminstration raises the "unbelievable bar" even more.

6. So they would have to build a colony, wouldn't they?
A conservative heaven we could send them all to. A big fundie church on every corner with cookie baking stepford wives to keep the domestic front going. They wouldn't even have to send any oil back. They could just stay there forever and leave us liberal ecologists back here on earth to repair our planet for future generations.

7. But oil couldn't exist on Mars...
Unless there was once a lot of life there, right?
