Is it possible that this is Disinformation
Edited on Wed Jan-14-04 07:18 PM by metisnation
The letter found in his briefcase might be disinformation by Sadaam to exonerate himself? Saudi arabia is linked to them too.

2. I'm thinking...
Let me get my tinfoil hat on. :tinfoilhat:

Hmmm...why would the CIA write a letter exonerating Saddam from using foreign terrorists against the United States after the Iraqi invasion?

I give up. Tell me.

4. They're hoping to deter outside terrorists....
and hoping to turn Iraqis against the outsiders. They probably think Saddam's words still carry a lot of weight with a lot of Iraqis...

3. That's EXACTLY how they work.
But, I'd say it's the BFEE arm of the CIA. The good guys in the intel community need to be heard.

5. That doesn't even rate as disinformation
It is a weak partisan excuse for lying to the nation about Iraq.

7. U.S.: Saddam order warned against jihadists
U.S. officials said Wednesday that a document found when Saddam was captured warned supporters to be wary of cooperating with foreign jihadists.

The directive, which appears to have been written after Saddam was ousted in April, advises his supporters not to get too close to Islamic jihadists coming into Iraq from other countries, officials said.

The document would seem to contradict the assertion by some Bush administration officials about possible close cooperation between Saddam's government and al Qaeda.

But U.S. officials warned against making too much of the new evidence.

11. So Saddam wrote a letter to his supporters and to make sure they
got the message, he kept the letter in his briefcase? That seems unlikely. More Bushshit. It may be an attempt at propaganda directed at the Iraqi people in the hope of decreasing their support for the insurgents.

12. You guys are missing the point
the letter actually may prove that Saddam had no links to al qaeda and never wanted to
