Freaky thing just happened

I teach at a small adult technical training center. An Assistant Principal just walked in with an INS agent. Apparently he is going around to all of the classrooms. No questions were asked. They came in, I was introduced and they walked out.

Anybody have any theories?

Its illegal to do so unless its in an officially santioned facility.

Seriously, maybe look at the the racial demographics of the students? Too many non-anglo names on the roll, INS wants a looksee.

to make sure that all the furners are good little students attending class. US citizens don't have to worry - we can skip whenever we want.

BTW - this is also in Florida - UCF, but it might be nationwide (Patriot Act?).

It won't be long until they are taking saliva and hair to test for drugs. It is fine for Rush to keep his medical records secret but your medical records (and UAs and hair samples and DNA is medical record) are open for even employers to examine. I don't get it. Where does it become open to public and kept sealed. What makes the difference. Medical records are medical records.
