Any DU'rs in Atlanta planning on greeting the chimp?
This could be an important day, since he has worked hard to avoid confronting protesters. It could be a no-win situation if he shows up and has his way blocked. There is no way the cops are going to clear away the protesters with that many cameras around. Make the bastard turn around and get back in his car.
Don't let a racist war-monger desecrate the grave of a man of peace as a stop-over en route to a fund-raiser!

11. My office is in Marietta just outside of Atlanta across the street

from Dobbins ARB where Air Force One probably flew into. But I can't get to the protest. Unfortunately, my job is priority. But there are going to be quite a few groups there to protest. I know that Georgia for Kucinich group is going to be there.

This is the post that finally got me to join the DU forums
after lurking for many months....

Unfortunately I am at work in Alpharetta today (north of ATL)
and not able to participate downtown, but I understand from
reading several articles online today (see one on
commondreams.org from the NYT) that many local civil rights
leaders are not happy about *'s obvious pandering - Zell
MIller with join * this evening at a $2,000 a plate fundraiser
(this following *'s wreath laying at Dr. King's crypt).

FWIW - local traffic reporters posted this morning that there
was a huge slowdown on one of the roads in town (I-75 inside
the Perimeter for anyone local reading this) caused by some
anti-Bush signs that some freedom fighters had hung on a
highway overpass.  Fight on!

Hope you didn't get stuck in traffic, but can you just imagine the swat teams crawling all over CNN Center today? Sheesh, I'm glad I'm not there. You'd think CNN could just hang a camera out a window and show us the protesting, but I won't hold my breath.

Thank you for the welcome! I was on 400 heading north so I was fortunate enough to miss the traffic. It must have been a good sign because the traffic reporter sounded like she was blushing as she made the annoucement and all she would say is that the sign did not paint a good picture of *. :)

and he saw the sign. He didn't know what it read, as he was going the opposite direction. But he said it was a good-sized sign.
