bush* just boarded his plane to go to atlanta uninvited to MLK event
Edited on Thu Jan-15-04 03:23 PM by ElsewheresDaughter
Coretta King stated when asked about bush*s coming said, "he invited himself... no one here invited him" ...bush* is being an egotistic insensitive pig...now the people will be inconvienced and kept way from honoring MLK because of bush*s security army....bush is using this event simply for a campaign photo-op :puke:

i hope they televise this event...i want to see it...i hope they turn their backs on the pretender...i just saw a banner on an overpass that bush will have to pass in route READ: "HONOR KING ...PROTEST BUSH!"

1. I remember reading an article...
that over a year into his term he still hadn't met with the NAACP! They'd requested meetings and he'd just blown they off. I wonder if he ever has?

3. I can't believe CNN is talking about.......
The "Chilly" reception and even showing a bu$h protest sign on an overpass. I too hope they show this idiot making an ass out of himself with his blatant hypocrisy. His actions speak louder than words....he doesn't give a damn about anyone of color...except to use them in photo ops and to pander for votes. What a lowlife creep he is.God, he is a disgrace. Now they're showing that sell-out DINO Zell Miller kissing bu$h ass.....man this is toooooo much. :puke:

5. PLEASE Do NOT Televise!
He deserves no recognition for this. I have been organizing King Celebrations off and on for nearly 20 years and have become very well acquainted with his anti-war position. Bush's visit is so INAPPROPRIATE that it should not be dignified with any media or acknowledgement at all other than perhaps a thunderbolt.

But perhaps in a more cynical light, the reason I would not want this televised is because what SHOULD happen is protest, and as we have seen, the Secret Service would arrest anyone who attempted to protest too closely.

Now, I think it would be sheer irony if Bush was assassinated while attempting to put a wreath on King's grave, but again, I would want it done with lightning. Let the heavens above repudiate Bush's claim of divine right.

Ooooooh, this whole things just smells. I have no words.

8. Not only that, he's rubbing our noses in it to attend a FundRaiser at Tax
Payer expense because of the MLK official visit.

20. didn't the GOP
bitch, moan and complain when clinton would go on "offical business" fundraisers? And now Bush does it. A lot.

The irony would be funny is it wasn't so sad...

6. He's using the King visit as official function to attend a fund raiser....
Edited on Thu Jan-15-04 02:51 PM by deminflorida
and the American Taxpayer is footing the bill. Because, of the MLK visit, Airforce One, and support Aircraft will arrive Atlanta today, after-wards George will attend fundraiser tonight in Atlanta. So how does everybody on this board feel now that you know your paying to get George to his fundraiser tonight?

Wait a minute, I have to run to the toilet.

10. Too bad there aren't any brave skydivers
who would jump in on those events that ordinary citizens are barricaded from. On the other hand Bush's goons would probably shoot them down.

15. they should reschedule it or hold it early...so that he comes to an
empty event. The audacity to come uninvited to a group you have ignored for 3 years.

Good for Coretta saying "he invited himself."

Wouldnt it a sweet statement if bu$h was refused entry to this event? Do you think that he and the SS would push themselves through?

C'mon Atlanta and Mrs. King, dont let this photo-op seeking, warmongering, imposter in!
