19. Wow! Like their "Nazi" uniforms!
Now, tell me again why bunkerboy is NOT like Hitler?!

Trouble is, no one can.

Another dead-on comparison for the files.

Vote for bunkerboy - I'M NOT LIKE HITLER! SO STOP SAYING THAT!

If it wasn't so true, why the hell are they all in a tizzy about it?

Never did another single President have to deny or complain about this crap - even Nixon! He was just our own home grown crook and lier scumbag.

Every day I wake up and think from the night before, that it couldn't get any worse. These bastards have to constantly proove me wrong on that. Damn them all.

34. Yes,
first time I saw a sign like that was when I went to an abortion rights rally in DC and the sign was meant for Bush I.

By the way, thanks for the pics, CatWoman!

9. Here's the downside. . .
Apparently, Zell Miller is introducing * at his fundraiser tonight and several Georgia Democrats are expected to come out as * supporters.

That was on the news last night. It almost made me lose sleep. (Then I remembered that many Georgia Democrats are mostly Republican, anyway.)

15. When are you guys going to retire these "Democrats" and get some
real ones in there? They are getting money to get re-elected somewhere. You need to convince those donors to redirect their funds to some real Democratic candidates to save our country.

17. buses and blacks make for bad images
1. Montgomery Bus Boycott 1955-1956

2. Freedom Rides 1961

....and the passengers being beaten in Atlanta, Birmingham, Anniston, Jackson, etc., and then arrested by the cops

3. the kids leading the parades of blacks to try to get to the Birmingham court house to REGISTER to and being arrested and carted off to jail in buses - several buses every day

....until Bull Connor and the city's leaders get fed up and bring out the fire hoses and the police dogs and turn them on the kids

18. Thanks for the pictures from the Front Catwoman!...
Glad to see we still have it.

I heard on CNN that it was a "black crowd of protesters", what ever the hell that is, that was creating a ruckus. Looks to me as if we are all together in this fight against the 'boy prince'.

If bush had anything for a spine instead of yellow chalk, he would have gone into the 'protest' scene, and asked some questions. But I expect the little coward ran away, and there is little thought of protesters after Karl tucked him in, and soothed him with a reading of the 'The Hungry Worm'.

37. media accounts of protest
as expected local atlanta t.v. news was full of inaccurate reporting.
don't all local t.v. news stations suck?
anyway -
the ajc provided decent coverage... at http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/0104/16bushvisit.html

and the nytimes has a good article at http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/16/national/16BUSH.html

but in the nytimes there are some inaccuracies....

He was shielded from their view by a row of transit-authority buses with police officers in riot gear atop them, according to the pool reporter who accompanied the president into the center.

catwoman's great pic's prove that the officers atop the buses were not wearing riot gear.

anyone who tells you that the situation was "dangerously chaotic" as keith whitney (kwitney@11alive.com) a local atlanta newsperson did --is wrong.
the police had complete control at all times , there were uniform apd officers, atlanta swat team members, and atlanta "reddog" officers.
plus the usual secret security goons in suits and officers on roofs.

39. CNN'S Fuzzy Math, is at it again?
Looks like to me in some of those photos, that the crowd numbered several more than the two or three hundred protesters that the CNN bean counters counted and reported were there! Any real crowd count?
