12. People believe what they hear

Conservatives have been screaming that the media is liberal for so long that the public believes them. And if you control the airwaves (like the right-wing does) you can tell people whatever you want.

13. It's really a bad question though...

The media's biases are not nearly so much along the liberal/conservative axis as it is biased towards the corporate viewpoint and sensationalism. Granted, the corporate slant often aligns with modern day republican style conservativism...

I do wonder if that poll has been freeped or something. It's just unbelievable to think that people could look at the current state of the US media and say it's got a liberal bias. It's literally become less objective than Pravda. Simply off the scale these days.

I was in Europe for a couple of months this year, and man... the difference in news coverage is stunning. They actually get pretty clear reporting of relevant issues. News doesn't read like editorial. It reads like news.

You rarely get to the end of an article and have that, "why is this person telling me this, and what did they leave out?" feeling.
