3. The Big Lie has taken its toll. |
|
The myth of the liberal media has taken hold in the consciousness of the Mur'kens. As one of Karl Rove's philosophical ancestors, Joseph Goebbels, could tell you: Repeat a lie often enough, and loud enough, and it becomes true.

seemingly not the place that 'Mur'kens' would go.
The question is a tough one I think, in that it's asking if the American Media as a whole has a bias; what exactly is 'American Media'?
If you're just looking the major news outlets then I think (and voted) that yes there is a slight conservative slant to coverage, but if you include all of the media, big and small in America then I think it tends to balance itself out. The thing about America (and it's media), is that you don't have to get your news from the Big Boys at all if you don't want to, there are plenty of other options.
The only place that I see almost complete domination of conservative views over liberal ones is in talk radio, but even that is still tough to categorize because while it is considered 'media', I tend to look at it as falling in the entertainment end of the spectrum rather than at the news end.
I wish the question were more specific I guess.

It is biased against Liberal thinking. The media constantly investigates and harpes on Independents and Democrats while at the same time overlooks when the Republicans do the same thig. Also when they talk about the networks being liberal, if you look at ABC, CBS, & NBC news, they air a half hour each day for a total of 12 hrs a week at 1 and a half hrs a day. While cnn, msnbc&fox are 24/7 for a total of 504 hrs. As far as talk radio, there are 134 stations of which 34 can be considered liberal or progressive.

PBS is not a favorite of the rightwing. I don't believe many of them would even visit the PBS site, much less support it. In order for this poll to be skewed this direction, it had to have been freeped.
