MRS. O'Neill's Bush observations are intriguing
This just reinforces my feelings that bu$h* has serious psychological issues:

Surreal Moments Serving a Mythological President
by Marian Wilkinson, Herald Correspondent in Washington

The weekend after September 11, George Bush's former Treasury secretary, Paul O'Neill, sat in a leather armchair at Camp David, the presidential retreat, devouring a pile of intelligence documents on al-Qaeda handed out by the CIA boss, George Tenet. A two-day crisis meeting of Mr Bush's senior advisers had finally wound up. The President had gone to bed. Across the room, the National Security Adviser, Condoleezza Rice, was singing hymns, accompanied on the piano by the Christian fundamentalist Attorney-General, John Ashcroft.

-snip-

While Mr O'Neill's revelations are dismissed by White House officials as the revenge of a sacked cabinet officer, at least some of his tales and anecdotes have a ring of truth to them. Like the President describing his love of "comfort food" - homemade chicken noodle soup and sandwiches on freshly baked bread. When Mrs O'Neill politely asked what comfort food his mother, Barbara Bush, cooked, George Bush replied bluntly: "You got to be kiddin'. My mother never cooked. The woman had frostbite on her fingers. Everything right out of the freezer."

For further psychological insights:

OTTAWA -- This is the tale of the two Scotts -- one American, the other Canadian. One is dark-haired, the other blond. Both are 35 and both work for the most powerful men in their respective countries.

Scott McClellan is the press secretary to U.S. President George W. Bush; Scott Reid is the senior strategist to Prime Minister Paul Martin.

But, according to Mr. Bush, Mr. Martin has the prettier Scott.

-snip-
The President chuckled. "Well, you got a pretty face," he told the surprised Mr. Reid. He wasn't done. "You got a pretty face," he said again. "You're a good-looking guy. Better looking than my Scott anyway."

5. yes!
It sounds very cult like... I can't exactly remember the last business meeting i had where we ended with singing hymms... ;)

Perhaps i'd feel more comfortable if they all sang hare krishna and danced in ecstacy that the world is a divine sacred place.

Hare krishna
hare krishna
krishna krishna
hare hare

hare rama
hare rama
rama rama
hare hare

:)

6. Ahhh...
As much as that adds to my suspicion that the entire Bush family is one giant, evil, criminal, phony, photo op; the real stinger in that article is the revelation of a CIA hit list!!! And the list is being promoted by unelected officials with no accountability. And the worst horror is that the report will not ever be read by our inattentive, go to bed early, MBA pResident!!

7. This Explains It
No "comfort" and "food" - no breastfeeding, coldness, emotional void, no conscience.

10. I get the idea

I get the idea that O'Neill actually likes Bush quite a bit as you do a mischievous son. But at the same time he is disappointed by Bush.

The fact that Bush doesn't seem to care about ANYTHING but campaigning is very telling. Or as his "fellow Texans" put it. He's all hat, no horse.
