Who determined 'red state' is republican and...
...'blue state' is democrat?

I'm really surprised that they didn't saddle us with the 'red' as in communist label.

4. I think that's correct
But it will probably now be blue for us, and red for the Repugs, all because of the trivialization of "red states" and "blue states".

8. Yes, I also find it ironic that "red" states define Repub territory
Sardonically amusing, as a matter of fact.

And -- ahem! -- isn't blue the traditional color of loyalty?
