2. Polls are usually meaningless, but... |
|
these national websites' polls are worthy of a raised eyebrow.
(if it were a fringe web site, I'd readily discount the news.) I do worry about this 41% who claims their priorities match *'s.
And the fact only 30% of the polled people think he's for "ordinary Americans" shows who these 30% are (the top richest 30% of the population, perhaps?)
Let's hope *'s numbers continue to go down.
Bush is toast, may he be burnt toast.

3. This is interesting because what I gathered from this article is that |
|
his job performance ratings have gone BY HIS OWN ACTIONS and not necessarily because of the democratic candidates attacks on him. He appears to be losing it. If (and a big if) that is the case, wait until the GE fully kicks off and all of this is in the national spotlight for the next year and he is going to have to answer (for the first time) for his policies. He is such a dumb shit, he isn't going to be able to do it with any clarity.
Things don't look so grim after all.

used adults at random not likely voters or even registered voters
"This poll was conducted among a nationwide random sample of 1022 adults, interviewed by telephone January 12-15, 2004. The error due to sampling for results based on the entire sample could be plus or minus three percentage points. Sampling error for subgroups may be higher."

5. That's their normal methodology |
|
Edited on Sun Jan-18-04 04:45 PM by lancdem
Less than a month ago, this same poll, using that methodology, had Bush at 60 percent. And if you look at CBS/N.Y. Times compared to other polls, they're usually in the middle, not at the low end. Other recent polls have shown Bush losing much of his post-Saddam bounce.
Edit: Zogby is the only one who polls likely voters. Most everyone polls adults. When the election near, that will probably change.
