Who will Bush pardon if he loses?
Will Bush pardon the two senior administration officials who outed the CIA agent? Will he pardon Ken Lay? Will Bush pardon Tom DeLay (Westar)?

He should be asked.

I'm kidding, of course, however since nothing Georgie does makes any real sense, I wouldn't be surprised.

2. Himself
That's who he thinks of first.

Actually, he'll probably be very busy pardoning a lot of people. His is the most crooked administration in American history. Even his invasion of Iraq was more of a campaign finance scandal than a legitimate act necessitated by national security.

5. No one. They will be too busy trying to find a way to subvert
the Constitution and stay in power. And I am not joking here: the threat of something that extraordinary is very real. The incoming Dem administration will have to monitor the WH very closely all during the transition. Remember, we would have no support from the SCOTUS, or many of the top Dem 'leaders' such as Daschle.

10. He can't pardon anyone who hasn't been convicted.
At the rate things are going (i.e., zero convictions of his buddies) he won't be able to pardon anyone of any importance before he leaves office.

13. Yes he can
Mr. Richard Nixon was pardon by Mr. Gerald Ford upon being sworn in as president. Mr. Ford stated that was doing this to unite the country because of this tragic event.

19. I can see him pardoning Cheney, Lay, Fastow, Anderson (inc)
and then, after pardoning Cheney, stepping down 12/1.

As soon as DC is sworn in for the duration, Cheney pardons Bush.

Isn't this called a circle jerk?

11. This statement was for another thread, but will work here
I would like to see some convictions for the lawlessness of this administration after the election (abb), so Mr. Bush Jr. will not have a chance to pardon anybody the way Mr. Bush Sr. did with Elliott Abrams.

I really think that this group of people including Mr. Bush Jr. need to do some jail time so people at this level of power fell that they cannot get away with anything. Period.

Laura, Jenna, Barbara, Noelle, Neil, Poppy, Jeb, Mrs. Jeb, George P., unka dick, consigliere James Baker.

I'm sure by next January the family will have a couple more criminals to add to the list.

I beg your pardon, shrub never promised you a rose garden. Along with the sunshine, there's got to be a little rain sometime.

23. Probably all the people Poppy pardoned on xmas eve 1992
Those same people, most of them are back in this administration and committing more crimes under it than they did under Bush I.

Some will have the claim to fame of having been pardoned by two different presidents, albeit both will have the name George Bush.

Now when Hillary is president, if she would blatantly hire into the administration people that her husband had pardoned at the end of his administration, would it fly under the radar of all the major media ?

That's what I thought you'd say.
