Is Rove using his Segretti Dirty Tricks manual on Dean in Iowa? |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-19-04 08:13 PM by TruthIsAll
Al Gore supports Dean. And Al Gore is smart and very experienced. Jimmy Carter supports Dean - without saying so. And Carter is probably the smartest president we ever had. They are telling us that Dean is a top-notch, very strong candidate.
Rove has stated that Dean would be the easiest to beat. If we have learned anything about Rove, it's that he is a master of disinformation. Believe the opposite of whatever he and his puppet pundits say. Rove fears Dean and Clark the most, although he also knows that anybody can beat Bush.
For those of you who were not around in 1972, know this: Karl Rove was Donald Segretti's protege in the Watergate "ratfucking" of the McGovern campaign. I am talking major dirty tricks here.
HAS ANYONE CONSIDERED THE STRONG PROBABILITY THAT ROVE HAS BEEN USING DIRTY TRICKS IN IOWA TO DERAIL THE DEAN STEAMROLLER?
Don't believe the media bullshit from "democratic" workers talking about Dean's "henchman". This is my gut feeling. Look at Rove's history. He is clearly a proven Machiavelli, 21st century style. And the media helps him right along. Rove has achieved his goal of focusing the media on Dean's "negatives" - his shooting from the hip, his anger, his extreme "left wing" liberalism, etc.
You can bet Rove fears Dean because of his strong grass roots support, ability to obtain broadbased funding and most of all, for his ability to energize the base and at the same time appeal to independents and moderates.
Deans's anger is the anger that we all feel. We need a candidate who is not afraid to show it. For me, it's Dean or Clark. Either one.

2. Kerry was on Nixon's enemies list for real |
|
I've always seen him as the biggest threat to Bush.

3. So let me see if I have this straight... |
|
The 40% of Americans (I'm being generous...it's probably more) in general who on any given day support Bush are the victims of Rove and are so gullible as to be fooled by him and the media that he controls.
The...let's say 50% (I'm being generous..it's probably more) of Democrats who don't support Dean as their primary candidates are the victims of Rove and are so gullible as to be fooled by him and the media that he controls.
Boy, that's a lot of really dumb people out there. I sure hope that the Dean supporters can save us all from ourselves.

5. It's Rove, the Media, and "the establishment" |
|
Their choices for Dem nominee are Kerry, Gephardt, and Lieberman, because they too are part of the "establishment". That isn't to say that any one of them wouldn't be better than *, but all three lack "mojo",and Mojo is a major factor with American voters (sad, but we're a shallow lot). From recent articles, I'm putting my money on Kerry, because the media has run the least amount of negitive press against him (and the most against Dean and Clark). It's disappointing, but the media is still calling the shots for our party.

6. Really....this confounds me.... |
|
Calling republicans stupid and ill-informed and gullible is one thing. Even calling apathetic independents that is one thing.
But in so many words saying that all of us who don't support particular candidates despite in many of our cases long records of many years supporting dems, being active dems and devoting our political and personal lives to advocating dem causes are gullible or cannot see things for ourselves and decide for ourselves based on accurate information and research just astounds me.

DU is a very select sample of the hardcore politically knowledgeable. I believe you would be very hardpressed to find voters more informed or more attuned to what is really going on. The majority of voters get one, two, maybe three viewpoints on things, which as we know are converging. TV, newspapers, radio are all pretty much in sync, and only the dedicated or concerned are going to step outside that box...
