How about a Bush Administration FAQ page? |
|
DU could do it or one of you techy people who know how to do HTML and put it on a page. We could then direct everyone to BushFAQ.com or DU/BushFAQ.
The answer would need to be short and sweet, but contain links to news articles for verification.
Who are George W. Bush's biggest contributors? How many members of the administration sit on Defense Industry Boards? What is George Bush's military history?
Etc.
Thoughts?

Sounds like a great idea. I could envision mutliple categories from background to policy. I think it would be a great DU project.

4. Because it would be nice to direct people to one place |
|
One web page that you could direct your Republican leaning neighbors to when discussing the presidential race. For instance, my neighbor is a generally intelligent guy - but he just doesn't want to go think too hard about politics. His buddies tell him that Bush is a great guy and hey, he got Saddam, so why even think about voting for someone else.
When I talk to him, I tell him to go to awolbush.com or moveon.org, but he dismisses these as propaganda sites, and there are too many for him to go to. So, if there was one site that was not inflammatory in its address, that had basic Bush administration FAQs, it would be nice to send him there. All I would have to say is, "All of your questions about the administration are addressed in BushFAQ.com. From there, the other more in depth sites could be accessed.
So, this is not a FAQ for die hard progressives like us, but for moderates and Republicans who haven't critically analyzed Bush's presidency and won't do it if they have to sift through what they see as "liberal" sites.
Just a thought.
