warning: RNC tool links Dean's "gusto" to panic attacks
Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 08:10 PM by grasswire
Note to mods: I put this in GD because it is more important than just a primary campaign issue. It's a general election strategy issue.

I was afraid this was going to happen.

A pundit (didn't catch her name) on CNN (Anderson Cooper's show) slipped in the shiv. When the discussion was about Howard Dean's excited speechfying Monday night, she linked it to his admitted panic attacks some years ago. An "oh dear I hope he's over his mental illness" type of commentary.

Dean campaign, beware. They're going to make this an issue in the slimiest way possible.

Catch it on the re-run, perhaps.

1. Didn't someone on DU think it was panic attack related as well?
Is the RNC looking here for their attack material?

3. Way to overcome his disability
I suffer from panic attacks and get terrified when I am closed in a room with upper management at my company. For a while, I got nervous buying more than a couple items at the grocery store. Members of my anxiety support group told of not being able to sit through church, staff meetings, and one even had to drop the support group because of it. He makes speeches in front of everyone.
If he is able to continue speaking through a panic attack and continues his campaign anyway, he can be president even if he has panic attacks. What courage.

4. Umm, no, not going to work....
I'll take a president with "panic attacks" over one with pathological Narcissistic Personality Disorder any damned day.

Let them us it. It'll backfire on them IMHO.
