They are going to siphon money away from the "robot" programs that do real science. Manned space flight is nothing short of electoral entertainment. It is "cool". But it's a VERY EXPENSIVE cool that has no tangible benefits.
The result of a moon program would be communicated by TV. I suggest that it should be pay-per-view. "The Moon Show" would set up a financial fund. Those who want to watch "The Moon Show" will pay a yearly fee of $2000-$10,000 depending on how many subscribers are attracted.
Likewise, "The Mars Show" would also be pay per view. However, unlike "The Moon Show" subscription fees would be $20,000-$100,000 annually.
In this way, people who want such "cool tv" can pay for it directly without "government interference". The production company would utilize NASA as a contractor to provide sets and location for "The Moon Show". Meanwhile, the core NASA budget that performs science would be untouched.

What!? No "Moonbase Dubya" ???
Also, speaking of illegal immigration, didn't you love (hate!) his comments about bringing in illegal immigrants to fill jobs no "'merkuns" would take?
How about forcing these marginal slave labor employers to pay a decent wage that an American could live on?
Un-believable! :puke:
(Hey Dubya, it's "nuclEAr", not "nuKULAR" !!! Get it right! It's a common American English word. nuclear. NUCLEAR!!!)

6. Mis-underestimating !!!!! |

If you've ever traveled into the back-roads of America, you'll understand why he says Nukular. And it's just find by a lot of voters.
OK, so I'm going to challenge liberals here. If it's wrong for Rush Limbaugh to make fun of "ebonics" , why is it OK for liberals to make fun of Bush (and rural Americans) for saying "nukular" instead of nuclear?????? Isn't that a double standard.
The fact is that their are TONS of local dialects in this nation of people who pronounce words differently. My mother says "Warshington" instead of Washington. That doesn't make her stupid.
Has it occurred to anyone that making fun of Bush for mispronouncing certain words is a HUGE turn off to folks in the "Red" states??? Is it possible that your playing DIRECTLY into that "liberal elite" stereotype????
Isn't it possible that Bush planned it that way in the first place? Using your anal adherence to strict pronunciation (save Ebonics) to make liberals look out of touch????
