The Army is passing out video games to high school boys!

My son came how today with 2 video games that an Army recruter gave him for putting his name on his mailing/call list. Ugh! I can't believe that they would stoop so low. Anyone know anything about this?

Its a 3-D shooter game that simulates real combat..pretty well actually. It is a move by the defence department to get your child desensitized to killing.

I believe at americasarmy.com It is actually a pretty nice shooter...like unreal tournament only with different skins for the characters

If it is, they've been doing that for a couple years now.
The game itself is supposed to be a recruiting tool. So they give it out for free.

Hell, just tell him to ignore the miltary mailings (or you just destroy them) and enjoy the free games. Kids aren't stupid, I'm sure he realizes what's up.

I saw one of them, don't remember what its name was, but it was a US military product, and the object of the game was to kill guys wearing turbans.

After all I just heard on the news that 20% of the kids aren't registering for the draft even though its a felony and there is no immediate plans for a draft. Immediate??? (sarcasm)
