ABC has vets on there, they all love Bush... |

I'm so sad...
I just dont understand...how can veterans support a war that wasn't necessary and in which over 500 current military people died...
They obviously love the other vets, how can they not see that Bush doesn't...
(editted to add the last part)

1. I was just posting the same thoughts |

but they are questioning bush's committment to Veterans. Another issue for the dems to hit on. Said the enthusiasm was much less about the economy. :}

Veterans in Batavia, IL - 3 old guys.
They started with confidence that Bush is doing well in Iraq.
Then one guy said he wanted to know why Bush didn't talk about taking care of the soldiers when they come home from the war.
That led to why Mars instead of taking care of the veterans and issues at home.

They wanted to know why they were being ignored, how can we go to Mars, while the troops are being ignored? What happens when the troops from Iraq & Afghanistan come home?
Also, they said that while it started off well, they got awfully quiet when he started to talk about the economy.

6. Yeah, all THREE of them |

I'm sure there were more Vets in the VFW hall. They probably didn't have the right message for ABC. At least they qualified their good statements with doubts about the Chimp.

8. I saw them too, but what I saw was a group of bored-looking........ |
|
soldiers all dressed up in uniform, who seemed to understand that they were there for (reaction shot) window dressing.....one even yawned; of course they quickly cut away from him mid-yawn.

...I can assure you that we all don't support Bush. But I am afraid that over the last fifteen years, most current and former military believe that the Republicans are the only party that cares about them. The democrats really need to capture the attention of these people in this election. A lot of the vets are boomers who have been rather irresponsible with their savings over the last several decades. Its going to be the Dems that get them out of that mess and save social security for them and us.
I was against the war before it started and I'm still against it continuing.
