Did any of you see the Dem. SOTU "rebuttal" with Pelosi and Daschle? |
|
I have to admit...it was quite good...biting in it's criticism on: the fabrication of the war, the expense of the war, and the impact here at home.
Then they went on to layout their vision for: education, healthcare and jobs...and bush's rhetoric isn't the "real"
It was quite good...

The words were good. Pelosi didn't come across that well. Daschle was much better.

7. I also liked the way they acknowledged Bush and the military issues |

in the beginning...they disarmed the "bush-hating" labelers and presented the facts.

3. Wow...someone actually thought it was good? |
|
It resembled a bad SNL skit...Nancy and Tom with their strange over emphasized grins did not reflect the tone of what they were saying. After the sleep inducing Bush speech...do you really think the public was paying attention? Well, Nancy does brush well.

5. Thought the most biting comment was... |
|
pointing out the "invisable tax increase" on the middle class.

6. It was very good...Daschle's concise summary on jobs was excellent |
|
he said something like we've lost and unprecedent 3 million jobs since Bush took off (and I mean took office), and that it would take 260k a month to make up for the loss adding that last month we only created 1,000 jobs.
Pelosi's facelift or browlift was distracting for a bit, but once I was able to concentrate on what she was saying, the message was also on point.

An insomniac's wet dream.
Really, what specifically was good? I must have slept through that part.

9. Uh, no, it was not 'good'. I want some Dem with a pair to get on TV and |
|
say something like:
"George Bush is a wannabe Hitler with no moral principles, a LIAR, an idiot and the most dangerous person on planet Earth." As in 'the hurtful truth.' :grr:
