I couldn't watch the SOTU tonight but when I tuned in for a little I saw Kennedy and thank god he was emoting the disgust I was feeling. Every other dem and reasonable thug should've been doing the same thing. He was also good after the speech but he was GREAT at his speech to the Center for American Progress. I wanna know who let robo-Pelosi and Dashing Daschle do the retorts. They said some decent things but delivered horribly...horribly. My man Kennedy should've been doing the response and ripping into every one of Bush's lies. It almost looks like we want to fail.

I totally agree with you. Been saying he should be the Senate Democratic Leader since the Medicare debacle.
I like Pelosi and she's been better at rounding up Democratic votes in the House than more than a few of her predecessors. That said, her delivery of the response wasn't what we needed. They need to make that speech is polished and put in more quotable slogans, so that the response is actually remembered.
