My "analysis" of the SOTU
In short, here's what that dolt said:

- America great, blah blah blah.
- Iraq without Saddam Hussein safer, imaginary weapons of mass destruction eliminated, freedom advanced
- Afghanistan doing fine and dandy, and the Taliban is gone (they're regrouping -- but you'll never, ever hear him say that)
- Leave No Child Behind (Teach the Test Act) working wonders for education system, and never mind the whole "unfunded mandate" thing.
- Faith-based initiatives, believe in Jesus, blah blah blah
- Rehabilitation for prisoners (a good idea? In Bush's speech? That must be a mistake... he must have meant harsher punishment)
- Baseball players shouldn't do steroids, the whole role model thing, and so on.
- Gay people aren't human, and therefore don't deserve to get married, and it's all in the name of preserving individual rights and loving Jesus (although... if you're a guy... and you love Jesus that much... isn't that... oops).
- People can pay for their own @#$% chemotherapy and other expensive, life-saving surgeries, they don't need government assistance. Therefore, Universal Health Care, which the rest of the CIVILIZED WORLD has, isn't necessary, and would hurt the United States because it somehow limits our options.
- Provided a lot of unsubstantiated statistics that somehow prove that punishment is the best way to solve the drug problem, and that less people are using drugs than ever before.

Anything I missed?

2. hmm....
the look of ailing vomit on certain peoples faces in the room everytime Bush made a key sentence.
Bush yelling for Laura to get a pen.
Despite everything he has done he clams he is still in favour of healthcare...

That about wraps it up.

3. Prisoners are being released because prisons are full and states are broke
and no longer able to house all the inmates. I doubt Bush's plan for prison rehab is a serious proposal, and most of them, under a GOP govt, will end up back in an over-crowded slammer.

On the defense of marriage, Bush is singlehandedly destroying the military family marriage due to exhaustive, never-ending deployments. He didn't talk about the fact that many military spouses haven't seen each other but a couple of months in the last three years. Imagine the impact on the family.

There is no family value in preemptive war.

5. I think the rich Frat boys are running the place. And.....
it about as crazy as it was when I went to Frat parties as a co-ed. The odd thing is at that time some of the silly girls wanted to marry some of these drunks.
