The 10 Commandments of a Politician
In keeping with the latest round of 10C stupidity which was carreid out here in NC yesterday, I would like to create a version for use with politicians, and I need ya'll's help. I'll be taking input and making a set which I will publish later. Thank you!

I - Thou shalt not let doing what is "political expedient" get in the way of doing what is constitutionally ande legally correct.

OK, your turn.

4. I was kinda hoping for something a bit more germaine...
...and serious. Something that actually affects the way you do your job. Somehow I have a hard time seeing as how a politician getting a little on the side prevents him from doing an effective job.

Also, isn't that covered under the Christian 10C?

3. Thou Shalt Represent the Citizens of your District/Ward/State/Nation
Somthing that seems to have fallen by the wayside lately. One of my senators (Coleman (R) MN) thinks that the job of a senator is to do whatever the Resident in Thief tells him to and not to represent his constituents.

If Chimpy wants something that isn't in the interests of the good people of my state, he votes with Chimpy.

5. How about "Thou Shalt Not...
put the interests of corporations above those of the people."
